Step 1: Learn about Sudbury School of Jacksonville
To explore if this is the right choice for your family, we encourage you to take some time to learn about us and what it would be like for your child to become a part of the school community. We strongly encourage all parents to read Peter Gray’s ” Free to Learn” and “The Sudbury Valley School Experience” available on the Sudbury Valley School Press website and attend an information meeting.
Step 2: Pre-application Conference
After gaining a preliminary understanding of the school and the Sudbury model, families are encouraged to schedule a meeting with the founders of the school. At this pre-admission conference, which both parents (or legal guardians) and the prospective student are required to attend, we will discuss the Application for Admissions form, which helps us get to know each other, as well as the School Overview info sheet. We will dedicate ample time for all of your questions and concerns.
Step 3: Application
Students who are interested in joining the school complete and submit an Application for Admissions along with a non-refundable $50 application fee.
Step 4: Enroll
Sudbury School of Jacksonville plans to open August, 2015. All enrollees will be contacted prior to the open date to discuss next steps and arrange tuition payments (or payment plans, if necessary.)
The Tuition for the Sudbury School of Jacksonville will be set by the School Meeting. However, tuition will be very competitive to encourage a diverse class, and will include sibling discounts.
